Fourth/Fifth Grade Teacher
Welcome to Hinckley Preparatory Academy! My name is Ms. Dixie Casal and I have the pleasure of teaching Hinckley Prep’s fourth and fifth grade science and social studies! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Indiana Tech, a Master’s Degree in Early Elementary Education PreK–3 and 4th & 5th grade Endorsement from John Carroll University, and Gifted Intervention Certification. For the past two years, I was the gifted intervention specialist at Black River Elementary and provided enrichment to second, third, and fourth grade gifted students in math and language arts. Prior to teaching at Black River, I worked full time as a substitute teacher in Medina County. Outside of teaching, my favorite things to do are spending quality time with my kids, Kaden and Kylie, playing with my Mini Labradoodle Bailey, traveling to see family, taking nature walks, tending to my flowerbeds, and crafting.
